Tindo Launches Australian-Made Solar Panels
Tindo Solar has introduced the first n-type solar panel to be produced in Australia, part of the newly released Walara Series by the Adelaide-based company.
The Walara Series Solar Panels, the eighth generation of modules from Tindo, have been designed and developed by a local team in South Australia.
A Leap in Australian Solar Technology
Richard Petterson, Tindo’s CEO, highlighted that the Walara Series is Australian Made certified, distinguishing it as the sole panel manufactured in Australia with this accreditation.
Petterson stated, “The Walara Series signifies a significant advancement in Australian solar technology. Our aim was to develop a product that builds upon our previous panels, tailored to meet installation and customer requirements.”
The introduction of bi-facial technologies in the Walara Series allows the panels to harness sunlight from both sides, enhancing overall power generation and offering a competitive advantage.
Additionally, the incorporation of half-cut cell technology minimises energy loss from resistance and heat, resulting in improved efficiency, particularly beneficial in Australia’s climate.
The modules feature a durable 35mm framing to reduce micro-cracks and ensure sustained performance. Enhanced packaging enables up to 31 panels per pallet, simplifying logistics and installation processes.
Diverse Configurations for Various Installation Needs
The Walara series will be accessible in different cell configurations, including white-back, black-back, and bi-facial variations, catering to a range of installation requirements.
Petterson emphasised, “Our aim was to establish a distinctive competitive edge for local suppliers and installers, offering value-driven choices for customers looking to leverage solar energy for enhanced energy security.”
He added, “Our primary focus remains on fostering innovation through local manufacturing, thereby delivering Australian consumers with domestically produced technology engineered to excel in local weather conditions.”
The Walara Series is now obtainable to solar panel installers and retailers through selected distributors nationwide.
